Mary Tran has a diverse work experience. Mary started their career as a Sales Associate at Electronic Express in January 2016. In September 2016, they also became a Small Business Owner at ME Designs, where they focused on embroidery designs. In August 2019, Mary joined Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and later became a Graduate Research Assistant in May 2021. At MTSU, they worked in the Bicker Lab, designing and synthesizing peptoids to test against anti-microbial resistance. Mary's most recent role was as an Acquisition Manager at JP PROPERTY INVESTMENT GROUP LLC, which they held from January 2022 to April 2022.

Mary Tran began their education in 2015 at Austin Peay State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Mary completed their undergraduate studies in 2019. In the same year, Mary Tran enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemistry by 2021. Continuously building their knowledge and expertise, Mary Tran then pursued a Doctor of Science degree in Molecular Bioscience at MTSU from 2019 to 2025.
