Florin Petriu has a diverse work history spanning over several decades. Florin began their career in 1985 as a Research Scientist Level 2 at the Institute for Nuclear Research. Florin worked there for 14 years before transitioning into the role of Design Engineer at Ital-Ro SRL in 2000. After two years, they moved to Adept Science & Technologies LLC in 2002, where they worked as a Design Engineer until 2014. At that point, they joined Electrolab inc. as a Senior Design Engineer and Senior Research Lead. In 2017, Florin Petriu was promoted to the position of Director of Research Development at Electrolab, Inc. in Boerne, Texas, where they currently hold their role.
Florin Petriu studied at the University of Bucharest from 1979 to 1984, where they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Engineering Physics, with a focus on Instrumentation and Control. In 1993, they attended the I.C.T.P. in Trieste, Italy, for a course titled "Microprocessor-Based Real-Time Control - Principles and applications in Physics." No degree is specified for this particular program.
