John McGrath is a seasoned Senior Substation Design Engineer with extensive experience in substation design and operations. Currently employed at ESB since March 2020, John has previously held the positions of Substation Design Engineer and Operations team member. Prior to ESB, John worked at ESB International from September 2018 to March 2020 as a Graduate Electrical Engineer, focusing on substation design. An early career internship at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. involved contributing to the Environmental Health and Safety Team. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Energy Engineering from University College Cork, completed in 2018, and has a Leaving Certificate from Blackwater Community School.
