Giorgos Georgiou is an Electrical Power Grid Engineer at the Electricity Authority of Cyprus since December 2018, with prior experience as a Design Support Engineer at Piperaris Security from January 2016 to December 2018, where responsibilities included designing security systems integration for various projects. Giorgos also gained practical experience as a Power Engineer at the Department of Electromechanical Services from November 2014 to November 2015, working towards licensure as an Electrical Engineer. Giorgos holds a PhD in Renewable Energy and Optimization in Nearly Zero Energy Buildings from Cyprus University of Technology (2015-2020), a Master's degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester (2013-2014), a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Manchester (2010-2013), and completed Foundation Studies at The University of Manchester (2009-2010).
