Derrick Galinat is an experienced electrical engineer with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University. Since September 2010, Derrick has worked at Electrical Consultants, Inc. as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Design Engineer, specializing in the design of electrical substations and engaging in both utility work and clean energy projects, such as wind farms. Prior to this, Derrick held positions at Daktronics as a Hardware Design Technician and Repair Technician, contributing to hardware design projects utilizing FPGAs, VHDL, and C. Derrick also served as a Teaching Assistant at South Dakota State University, aiding in the instruction of EE292, where students learned PSpice and MATLAB, and earlier gained hands-on experience in electronic assembly at Midwest Micro-Tek.
