Garima D. has over twenty years of experience in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energy. Garima began their career in 1998 as a Microbiologist at Unique Pharmaceuticals. In 2000, they moved to Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd. as a Junior Scientist, where they developed biotherapeutic technology in E. coli and Pichia. From 2002 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist and Project Manager at the Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute, where they established a Biotechnology center of excellence and developed an integrated fermentation bioprocess technology for conversion of crop residues into ethanol and methane. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Owens Community College and a Clinical Research Project Manager at The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. In 2017, they joined First Solar as a Program Manager in Global Quality Management Systems and in Global Supply Chain. Currently, they are a Sr. Program Manager at Electric Hydrogen Co., where they are working to cost-effectively decarbonize the massive industrial sectors.
Garima D. obtained their Masters of Science from SPU, India in 2001, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular and cell biology from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2008. In 2016, they completed their Masters of Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in the field of Business Administration, Management and Operations. Additionally, they hold certifications from Omnex Inc. as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, a Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials certification, and a Healthcare Marketplace Specialization certification from the University of Minnesota (through Coursera).
