Thomas McGurl is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Electric since February 2020, Thomas has held various roles including Senior Software Engineering Manager and Software Engineering Manager. Prior to Electric, Thomas worked at Chartbeat from July 2015 to February 2020, where roles included Frontend Engineering Manager and Front-end Software Engineer. Earlier experience includes a position as a Software Developer at Verizon Wireless from June 2012 to July 2015, focusing on point of sale applications and leading the development of an AngularJS application. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University, earned in 2012.
