Laurissa Burns has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, currently serving as the Chief Administrative Officer at Elderplan Inc, a division of MJHS Health Plans, since September 2002. Laurissa has held several significant positions within Elderplan, including Senior Vice President of Management Services & Medical Affairs, Vice President of Health Plan Operations, and AVP roles in Product Implementation and Claims & Technical Services. Prior to joining Elderplan, Laurissa was a Senior Consultant at Braden Consulting & Associates, Inc, specializing in healthcare operational and technical consulting. Earlier in their career, Laurissa managed the day-to-day operations of the Claims Department at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island, where notable achievements included leading a project team for a claims system conversion.
