Lorena Carrillo is an experienced professional in development, communications, and community engagement, currently serving as the Director of Development & Communications at El Programa Hispano since April 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing fundraising and communication strategies for a budget exceeding $11 million. Prior to this role, Lorena held several positions, including Director of Economic Sustainability at El Programa Hispano, Public Affairs & Community Relations Manager at the Urban Flood Safety & Water Quality District, and Outreach and Events Director at the Columbia Slough Watershed Council. Educational achievements include a Master of Public Administration candidate degree focusing on Natural Resource Policy & Administration from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development and Sustainable Urban Development from the same institution. Additionally, Lorena has contributed to various initiatives in soccer coaching, event coordination, and language education.
