Dr. Danika Woods Mitchem has extensive work experience in education. Dr. Danika started their career as a Teacher at Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in 2005. Dr. Danika then moved to Atlanta Public Schools, where they served as a Teacher, Instructional Coach, and later as an Assistant Principal. In 2022, they joined EL Education as an Associate Director of District Partnerships before being promoted to the role of Director of District Partnerships in 2023.
Dr. Danika Woods Mitchem holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Hampton University, which they completed between 2019 and 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Secondary Mathematics Education at Georgia State University from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Danika began their education journey by completing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from 2001 to 2005.
