Gustavo Ortega Joaquin is an experienced leader with a diverse background in hospitality, tourism, and governmental service. Since 2012, Gustavo has held the position of Propietario at Hoteles y Viñedos del Valle de Guadalupe and Isla Cozumel Real Estates until 2020. Additionally, Gustavo has served as the Chief Executive Officer for El Cielo Winery & Resort and El Cielo since November 2011. As a Diputado Federal since 2009, Gustavo has been involved in legislative activities while also directing Desarrollos Turisticos Costa Maya since 2000. Previous roles include Regional Director at FONATUR from 2008 to 2009 and being a partner at Club de Playa Mr. Sancho's until 2018. Gustavo's educational background includes a Digital Marketing Strategy certification from Harvard Extension School, a General Managers Program from Cornell University, and a CSS in Management from Harvard University.
