Jake Tish is a research assistant at the Institute for Learning Brain Sciences at the University of Washington, involved in the SparkLing project that focuses on developing curriculum and educational materials for teaching second languages to infants and young children. In addition to academic roles, Jake serves as a Student Handler for Dubs, the university's live mascot, and previously held positions as a Systems Navigation Intern at El Centro de la Raza and a salesperson at Seattle Boat Company, where tenure included roles as a sales assistant and dockhand/fuel dock captain. Jake Tish earned a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Washington and holds a high school diploma from Lakeside School.
