Laurits Hjortkjær Henningsen has work experience as a journalist at Ekstra Bladet starting from October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a journalist at Politiken from October 2021 to September 2022, from February 2021 to October 2021, and as a journalist intern from February 2020 to February 2021.

Laurits Hjortkjær Henningsen began their education in 2012 at Holstebro Gymnasium & HF, where they pursued a Samfundsfaglig linje, or a social science-focused program. Laurits completed their studies at the gymnasium in 2015. In 2018, Laurits enrolled at Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole, where they studied Journalism until 2021. Additionally, in 2019, Laurits participated in an exchange semester at Tecnológico de Monterrey, focusing on Politics, Documentary Production, and Journalism.
