Klas Eskilsson

Vice President Global Logistics at Ekman & Co.

Klas Eskilsson has extensive experience in the shipping and logistics industry. Klas began their career in 2000 with Stena Bulk AB, where they served as Vice President and was responsible for the tanker fleet and commercial liaison for the organization. Klas also oversaw ship newbuildings negotiations.

In 2003, Klas joined ITOPF as a Director on the Board of Directors. ITOPF is a non-profit organization that promotes effective responses to marine spills of oil and hazardous substances. Klas remained with ITOPF until 2008.

From 2005 to 2009, Klas worked for Stena Bulk LLC as Vice President and Head of Stena Bulk USA. Klas managed the US operations, handling tankers for the transportation of crude oil and refined products.

Klas also held roles with Stena Sonangol Suezmax Pool LLC and Stena Sonangol Panamax Pool LLC, where they worked as a Pool Manager. These joint ventures between Stena Bulk and Angola's state-owned oil company involved commercially handling tankers in pools with other players in the shipping industry.

In 2009, Klas joined Rederi AB TransAtlantic as a Senior Business Developer. Klas later became the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer before leaving the company in 2013.

Since 2013, Klas has been with Ekman & Co AB, initially serving as Vice President Logistics. Klas provided a complete range of services for the paper and pulp industries, including logistics, trade finance, payment administration, and risk hedging. In 2018, they were promoted to Senior Manager Chartering & Logistics, and in 2022, they became the Vice President of Global Logistics, focusing on projects worldwide and coordinating the global team.

Throughout their career, Klas has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of shipping and logistics, including chartering, bulk transportation, marine insurance, and warehouse management. Klas has worked for prominent companies in the industry and has shown an ability to manage operations on a global scale.

Klas Eskilsson pursued their education in the field of Business Administration and Economics, with a specialization in Transport Management/Logistics. Klas attended the University of Gothenburg from 1984 to 1988 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. Later, in 2000 and 2001, Klas underwent a management course at the IFL Management Course, where they studied Management studies.
