Dimitris Mavrikios is currently the Chief Operations Officer at EIT Manufacturing, a position held since January 2019, overseeing the annual cycle of operations, business plan approvals, work monitoring, risk management, and IT system maintenance. Previously, Dimitris served as the Interim Chief Operations Officer, where responsibilities included launching the Innovation Community's operations. From 1996 to 2019, Dimitris was at the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Automation, holding various roles such as Head of European Affairs and Senior Research Manager, focusing on European manufacturing research and innovation initiatives and education paradigms. Dimitris began the academic journey at the University of Patras, earning a Ph.D. and an Engineer’s Degree.
