Marc Butterly completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities from Trinity College Dublin between 1991 and 1996. Prior to that, they attended Gonzaga College SJ from 1981 to 1990, although the degree and field of study are unspecified. In 2020, they pursued further education in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from DCM Learning and obtained Agile Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org, specializing in Agile Frameworks.
