Tomas Mahony is an experienced professional in the energy sector with a focus on high voltage transmission systems. Currently serving as the European Network Codes and Business Continuity Manager at EirGrid since February 2017, Tomas previously held various key roles at EirGrid, including Power Systems Operations Planning Manager and Regional HV Transmission Projects Manager, overseeing projects with a total capital value of approximately €1 billion. With a background as an Independent Business Owner and Dairy Farm Manager, Tomas successfully modernized family farm operations, achieving significant increases in output and environmental standards. Early career experiences include commissioning high voltage stations with ESB International and managing numerous transmission projects.
