Brian Malone has extensive experience in the energy sector, primarily with EirGrid Group since March 2004, where Brian has held various leadership roles including Customer Team Lead and National Control Centre Senior Relief Engineer. Brian is certified as a Senior Shift Charge Engineer and has responsibilities that encompass dispatch and scheduling along with operational planning, notably leading the Transmission Outage Programme in 2016. Additionally, Brian has contributed significantly to the I-SEM project, overseeing governance related to Dispatch Balancing Costs and participating in testing and market trials. Earlier roles include Senior Lead Outage Management and work with the Victorian Transmission System at VENCorp. Brian holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dublin City University.
