In 2016, Thomas Smith was named Chief Operating Officer of Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park and MossRehab, recognized as one of the top rehabilitative hospitals in the United States and one of the top workplaces in the Greater Philadelphia region. In his role, Smith has responsibility for all of MossRehabās inpatient and outpatient locations, as well as day-to-day oversight of Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, which offers a full range of services, including a 24-hour Emergency Department. Throughout his career, Smith has served in a variety of clinical, programmatic and hospital leadership roles. He joined MossRehab in 1989 as an Occupational Therapist for MossRehab's nationally recognized Stroke and Brain Injury Programs. In 2000, Smith became the program director for the Drucker Brain Injury Center and later served in this capacity for the MossRehab satellite units at Aria Frankford, Aria Bucks and Doylestown Hospitals. In 2011, Smith became the Assistant Vice President for MossRehab and Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park.
