Vice President- Medical Services, Quality and Patient Safety at EHA Clinics

Ifunanya Ilodibe MD. MSc. CPHQ has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ifunanya is currently the Vice President of Medical Services, Quality, and Patient Safety at EHA Clinics, a position they have held since September 2022. In this role, they are responsible for various tasks, including recruitment and manpower planning, operational management of the Abuja Clinic, budget and financial planning, referral coordination, liaising with the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for the COVID-19 response in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and serving as a case manager at the COVID-19 isolation center. Ifunanya also supervises all clinical staff and develops and monitors standard operating procedures to meet JCI (Joint Commission International) standards.

Prior to their current position, Ifunanya Ilodibe served as the Practice and Quality Assurance Manager at EHA Clinics from October 2019 to September 2022. In this role, they were responsible for recruitment and manpower planning, operational management of the Abuja Clinic, budget and financial planning, referral coordination, and liaising with the FMOH and NCDC for the COVID-19 response in FCT. Additionally, they served as the COVID-19 isolation center case manager and was in charge of supervising all clinical staff and developing and monitoring standard operating procedures to meet JCI standards.

Before joining EHA Clinics, Ifunanya Ilodibe worked at Bridge Clinic Fertility Centre, Nigeria, where they held various roles from 2014 to 2019. Ifunanya started as a Line Function from June 2014 to January 2015 and then became a Business Unit Coordinator from January 2015 to January 2016. Finally, they served as a Clinic Administrator from January 2016 to October 2019.

Prior to their work at Bridge Clinic Fertility Centre, Ifunanya Ilodibe worked as a Medical Officer at Safeplace Medical Centre PH from February 2013 to October 2013. Ifunanya was responsible for providing medical care to patients during this time.

Ifunanya also worked as a Medical Officer at Nigerian Navy Medical Centre, Onne from December 2011 to November 2012. In this role, they managed outpatient and inpatient cases, provided diagnosis and treatment for PLWHIV and AIDS and TB, and conducted screening for recruits for active service.

Ifunanya Ilodibe's earliest work experience was as a House Officer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital from October 2010 to October 2011.

Ifunanya Ilodibe MD, MSc., CPHQ has a diverse educational background. In 2002, they began their education at the University of Ghana, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Medical Science in 2006. Ifunanya then pursued higher education in Medicine, completing their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree at the University of Ghana in 2010.

Continuing their academic journey, Ifunanya Ilodibe enrolled at The University of Sheffield in 2016 and successfully completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Health Management and Leadership in 2018.

In addition to their degrees, Ifunanya Ilodibe MD, MSc., CPHQ has obtained several certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills. These certifications include Introduction to A3 Thinking, Leader Standard Work, and Principles of Organizational Excellence, all obtained from Catalysis Inc. in August 2022. Ifunanya has also attained the certification of International Healthcare Quality Professional from Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University in December 2021. Furthermore, they completed Crucial Conversations Training from VitalSmarts in August 2021, Project Management in Global Health from the University of Washington in September 2019, and became a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) through the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in February 2022. Lastly, they received certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association in May 2021.

Overall, Ifunanya Ilodibe MD, MSc., CPHQ has a strong educational background with degrees in Medical Science and Medicine, as well as a Master of Science in International Health Management and Leadership.
