Shishir Sharma has extensive experience in engineering and technology, currently serving as VP of Engineering for Cloud Applications at Egnyte since March 2009, with previous roles including Sr Director of Engineering for Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, and Distinguished Engineer within the Office of the CTO. Prior to Egnyte, Shishir held a Software Engineer Intern position at DIRECTV, where work focused on the lower embedded layer. Other notable roles include Senior Software Engineer at Headstrong, software developer at Headstrong India, and Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, with a strong background in Java, J2EE, Web Services, and Linux. Shishir holds an MS in Computer Science from UC Irvine and a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University).
