Ruud Weijer is an experienced clinical projects manager and liaison officer at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, specializing in the gastroenterology department and collaborating with Cancer Core Europe since August 2021. Prior to this role, Ruud held positions as Clinical Research Associate II and Clinical Research Associate at CATO SMS and SMS-oncology from 2017 to 2021. Ruud's career also includes a PhD in Experimental Surgery from the Academic Medical Center, focusing on enhancing photodynamic therapy for refractory solid cancers, completed with a thesis defense in February 2017. Early internships include clinical pharmacology and pathology studies at NKI-AVL and Cancer Center Amsterdam. Ruud holds an MSc in Oncology and a BSc in Health and Life Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
