Tom Deblauwe has a diverse work experience in software engineering and embedded systems. Tom most recently worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Toadi since 2018. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at PegusApps from 2017 to 2018.
From 2014 to 2017, Tom was a Senior Software Engineer at e-BO Enterprises, where they played a key role in developing Linux-based thin client software. Tom was also involved in the PrisonCloud project in Belgium.
Before that, from 2013 to 2014, Tom worked as an R&D Engineer at FLIR Systems, where they were part of the C++ software team working on custom embedded hardware and websockets-based HTML5 client applications.
From 2010 to 2013, Tom was an R&D Engineer at Traficon, where they contributed to the development of C++ software for custom embedded hardware using Linux and WinCE 5.0. Tom also streamlined the build systems using CMake.
Tom's earlier experience includes working as an Embedded Software Engineer at Xtralis from 2004 to 2010. Tom was responsible for implementing video recording devices using C and C++.
Tom Deblauwe completed their education at PIH Kortrijk. From 1998 to 2001, they pursued a degree in Gegradueerde Multimedia & Communicatie Technologie. Tom then continued their studies at the same institution from 2001 to 2003, where they earned a degree in Industrieel Ingenieur Informatie & Communicatie Technologie. In addition to their formal education, Tom Deblauwe obtained certifications in Git Real and Git Real 2 from Code School in January 2015.
