Øyvind Olsen has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Øyvind started their career as a Høgskolelektor at Høgskolen i Narvik, where they taught a summer mathematics course for students starting their master's program in 2007 and 2008. Following this, they worked as a summer intern at SINTEF, assisting with experiments and modeling bacterial growth in the department for food processes.
In 2010, Øyvind joined Technogarden as a Project Engineer, and then moved on to KONGSBERG in 2011, where they worked as a Project Engineer until 2014. At KONGSBERG, they were involved in project engineering.
From 2014 to 2017, Øyvind worked at National Oilwell Varco as a System Software Developer. Their role involved developing NOVOS, an operating system for drilling, specifically focusing on framework and tools for app development and integration. Øyvind was also responsible for creating some control apps for the OS.
Currently, Øyvind is working as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Eelume AS, starting from February 2017 onwards.
Øyvind Olsen attended Frydenlund vgs from 2000 to 2003, although information regarding the degree or field of study is not available. Subsequently, from 2004 to 2009, they pursued a Master's degree in Physics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
