Nicholas Portuondo is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Congress and Energy Reporter at E&E News since September 2021, following a position as a Reporting Fellow. Prior to this, Nicholas gained valuable experience as a News Intern at The Spokesman-Review and studied as a Graduate Journalism Student at Northwestern University Medill School. Previous roles include a Media Intern at the Union of Concerned Scientists and an Intern at Hanalei Watershed Hui. Nicholas holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Science from Duke University.
