Julia Carino

Julia Carino is a dedicated Ph.D. student in Political Science at Northeastern University since September 2023. Currently serving as a Program Facilitator at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, Julia enhances educational programs through facilitation and meticulous set-up procedures. Previously, at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Julia worked as a Tutor in the Learning Resource Center, providing support in political science, linguistics, classics, and history, while also chairing the Academic Oversight Committee for the UMass Student Government Association. In this role, Julia led initiatives on open education resources and developed policies to support students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Julia's early experiences include internships in the Massachusetts State Senate, coordinating educational programming and conducting research on renewable energy for State Senator Jason Lewis, demonstrating strong skills in policy and community engagement. Julia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Classics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2022.
