Maha Smoom began their work experience in 2009 as a Programme Coordinator at the Youth Development Department, where they played a crucial role in establishing partnerships and programs for youth outreach. Maha then moved on to Sharek Youth Forum in 2010, where they worked as a Programme Manager, focusing on organizational development and creating job opportunities for underserved youth.

In 2012, Maha became the Country Director at DVV International, where they successfully developed partnerships and initiatives for adult education, contributing to the national education strategy. As an Independent Consultant from 2017 to 2019, they won EU grants, evaluated educational projects, and developed administrative and financial manuals.

Maha joined Hasoub in 2020 as the VP of Operations, where they collaborated with groups to develop startup ideas and organized the Corona Hack event to find tech solutions for the COVID-19 pandemic. Maha also established partnerships with local and international businesses/startups.

Currently, Maha is working as an Operations and Country Manager at Edunation LTD. Their key achievements include improving communications, acquiring grants and tenders, and expanding the number of institutions through strategic planning.

Maha Smoom obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication, Culture, and Media from Coventry University, which they attended from 2002 to 2006. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Development at the University of Bristol, from 2006 to 2007.
