Iona Szkurnik is the CEO and founder of Education Journey. Iona was previously the director of international development at Hapara, the VP of international strategy and operations at Lumiar Education, and a board member at the Stanford University Graduate School of Education. Iona is a Lemann Fellow and has a strategic project management background from their work with the Estado do Rio de Janeiro.

Iona Szkurnik has a Master of Arts from Stanford University, a Distinguished Career Institute from Stanford University, an MBA from Université Paris-Sorbonne, and an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas / FGV. Iona also has a Master's Degree from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Iona is certified from the ASU+GSV Summit in the GSV Cup Elite 200.
