Hector Contreras-Ramazzini is a dedicated education professional currently serving as a Science Teacher at Education for Change Public Schools since August 2021. Prior experience includes working as a Bilingual Administrative Assistant at Oakland Unified School District from January 2019 to July 2022, where responsibilities involved supporting truancy hearings and assisting the Expanded Learning team. Additionally, Hector held the position of Regional Coordinator at the Bay Area Urban Debate League in 2018, focusing on student recruitment and curriculum development for debate programs. Previous roles include interning at the Resource Center for Nonviolence and co-coordinating outreach initiatives at Cultural Arts and Diversity, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for Engaging Education. Hector earned a Bachelor's degree in Politics with a focus on Latin American and Latino Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 2013 to 2018.
