Maryana Boatenreiter is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in instructional design and higher education. Currently serving as Communications Manager at the Education Commission of the States since March 2020, Maryana has previously held roles including Senior Communications Strategist, Editorial Content Strategist, and Communications Specialist. At the University of Colorado Boulder, Maryana designed and taught Writing and Rhetoric courses, integrating social justice pedagogy. Additional teaching roles include Graduate Student Instructor at Miami University, where similar courses were created. Maryana's earlier experience includes supporting student writers at the Howe Center for Writing Excellence, coordinating student support at Florida State University, and providing customer service at the State Board of Administration of Florida. Maryana holds a Master's degree in Rhetoric and Composition from Miami University and a Bachelor's degree in Editing, Writing, and Media from Florida State University.
