Morten Emil Hansen has a diverse and extensive work experience. Morten Emil currently works as a Senior Partnership Consultant at Education Cannot Wait (ECW) since 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Partner and Senior consultant at Policy Advice starting from February 2023. At the same time, they held the position of Special Advisor (Director) at The LEGO Foundation from September 2022 to February 2023, and as a Senior Consultant (full time) from March 2022 to September 2022.
Before joining The LEGO Foundation, Morten Emil Hansen worked as a Coordinator at Danish Alliance for Education in Emergencies from April 2021 to March 2022. Morten Emil also has significant experience at Policy Advice, where they served as a Partner and Senior consultant from July 2012 to July 2021, with assignments in different cities like Accra, Copenhagen, and Addis Ababa.
Additionally, Morten Emil Hansen has worked as a Senior Policy and Advocacy Advisor at CARE Ghana from May 2013 to May 2015, and as a Senior Trade Specialist at the Institute of Economic Affairs, Ghana from February 2013 to January 2015.
Earlier in their career, they held the position of Head of Secretariat at Concord Denmark from June 2010 to July 2012. During this time, they were responsible for policy priorities and the joint CSO program. Morten Emil also served as the Co-chair of the Concord Europe Policy Forum and Beyond 2015 from January 2012 to June 2012.
Furthermore, Morten Emil Hansen served as the Vice Chairman of the Danish 92-Group from October 2008 to October 2010. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic development of the organization, represented and negotiated on behalf of the group, and supervised the secretariat.

Morten Emil Hansen began their education at Rødovre Statsskole, although the specific dates are unknown. In 1995, they enrolled in Aalborg University for a basic studies program in Social Science, completing it in 1996. From 1996 to 2000, they attended Roskilde University, majoring in Geography and International Development Studies. In 2000, Morten Emil Hansen was a Research Fellow at the University of Cape Town, specializing in DEPRU. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master's degree at Aarhus University, focusing on Ethics and Values in Organizations.
