Rene Weber has a strong background in manufacturing and optics, spanning over 30 years of experience. Rene started their career at BIFO GmbH, where they served as the Manager of Optics and Mechanics from September 1993 to August 1997. Rene then joined ZEISS Group, where they held various positions, including Project Engineer for Laser Components, Manager of Laser Components, Director of Optical Production, and finally, Senior Director of the Business Sector Optics. Rene worked at ZEISS Group from September 1997 to June 2016. Currently, Rene works at Edmund Optics, where they have held several roles. From August 2016 to May 2019, they served as the Senior Director of Manufacturing. Rene then became the General Manager of Edmund Optics Singapore from May 2019 to January 2022. Rene then moved up to the position of Vice President of Manufacturing from January 2022 to April 2023. Rene currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, starting in April 2023.

Rene Weber obtained a Master's Degree in Technical Electronics from Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT) between 1988 and 1992.
