Michael Sala is an experienced Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer at Edmund Optics, where Michael has worked since May 2016, progressing from an engineering intern focused on coatings to their current role. Responsibilities include updating drawings for coating chamber tooling and enhancing reflectance measurement accuracy through research and testing. Prior experience at Marlton Pike Precision Shop included roles as an engineering intern and CAD technician, where Michael assisted with design projects, created detailed part drawings, and operated CNC mills. Michael holds a Master of Science in Optics/Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rowan University.
