Isela Howlett-Giokaris is an experienced Optical Design Engineer currently employed at Edmund Optics since July 2022. With a diverse background, Isela also operates Bready or Knot LLC and previously led Tri-It Coaching LLC. Prior experience includes roles as an Optical Engineer at RUDA - CARDINAL, INC., and as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Arizona, where Isela focused on the design and development of Volume Holographic microscopes for ovarian cancer studies. Notable internships at Disney Research involved optical modeling for AR/VR and 3D display systems. Isela holds a PhD in Optical Science and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Colorado State University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Optical Science and Engineering from the University of Arizona.
