Philip Bale III

Edmund Hillary Global Impact Fellow at Edmund Hillary Fellowship (EHF)

Philip Bale III is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software development and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Edmund Hillary Global Impact Fellow at the Edmund Hillary Fellowship since 2020, Philip focuses on creating impactful solutions to global challenges. As President of Appify since 2011, Philip has led the firm in delivering high-quality software and implementation services. Previous roles include CTO of Mystro, where Philip expanded the engineering team and developed key products, and Founder of Haptic Systems, where an innovative Braille learning platform was created. Additional experience encompasses a diverse range of positions in software engineering, including internships at Google and TigerText, and teaching at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Philip holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning, both from Georgia Institute of Technology.
