Barry Martinez is a GIS Pipeline Specialist at EDM Services, Inc., where responsibilities include conducting High Consequence Analysis and GIS Hydrological Analysis for SoCalGas projects since March 2021. Concurrently, Barry serves as a University Lecturer at California State University-Los Angeles, teaching undergraduate geography and geoscience courses. Previous experience includes a Climate Research Fellowship at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, focusing on observational research and data analysis of hydrological variables, and roles as a Graduate Teacher's Assistant and summer intern at NASA facilities, involved in various research and data analysis projects. Barry holds a Master of Arts in Geography and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a GIS focus from California State University, Los Angeles, along with an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from other institutions.
