Rachel Hansen has extensive experience in education and advocacy, currently serving as a Board Member of the Oregon Branch of the International Dyslexia Association since January 2016 and as a Secondary Teacher at Thomas A. Edison High School since July 2014. In addition, Rachel advocates for dyslexic students with the Beaverton School District and previously worked as a Dyslexia Communicator & Advocate at NW Dyslexia Connection from October 2015 to March 2018. Other notable roles include serving on the SDS Cancer Benefit Committee at the SAM DAY FOUNDATION and leading high school ministry at Sunset Presbyterian Church. Rachel holds a Master's Degree in Teaching from Pacific University and two Bachelor's Degrees from the University of Oregon in Exercise and Movement Science/Human Physiology and Exercise Physiology.
