Douglas Struth currently serves as the Managing Director of Edinburgh Rugby, a position held since July 2019, where leadership responsibilities encompass the professional team, business operations, and a multi-million pound operating budget. Prior to this role, Douglas was the Head of Legal & Secretary to the Scottish Rugby Council at the Scottish Rugby Union from June 2014 to July 2019, providing comprehensive legal and governance support. Douglas's career also includes serving as a Senior Lawyer at Virgin Money, where significant transactions included multi-million acquisitions and sponsorship contracts, and as Legal Counsel at the Royal Bank of Scotland, supporting offshore banking operations across multiple countries. Douglas began legal training at MMS, now Dentons, and holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Glasgow and a Diploma in Legal Practice from The University of Edinburgh.
