Dimitris Dimakopoulos is a CDT PhD Researcher at the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics since September 2023, with a strong background in data science and research engineering. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Engineer at Alana from August 2021 to September 2023 and as a Data Scientist at Constellation AI and Avanade between May 2019 and May 2019. Additionally, Dimitris gained valuable experience at UCL Energy Institute as a Data Scientist from November 2016 to December 2017, and completed internships at the Computer Technology Institute and Philips in roles such as Research Intern and Software Engineering Intern. Dimitris holds a Doctor of Philosophy in PhD from The University of Edinburgh, a Master’s Degree in Computational Statistics & Machine Learning from UCL, and a Higher National Diploma in Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, along with another Doctor of Philosophy in PhD from Heriot-Watt University.
