Calvin Cheng has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Calvin is currently serving as the General Manager & CTO at Edgehog Advanced Technologies Inc., a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Chief Technology Officer at the same company from December 2018 to January 2023. Calvin also served as the Product Lead and Co-Founder at Edgehog Advanced Technologies Inc. from September 2017 to November 2018.

Additionally, Calvin has worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence at TandemLaunch Inc. from September 2017 to March 2018. Before that, they were an Innovation Fellow at the Impact Centre at the University of Toronto from May 2011 to August 2017. In this role, they focused on building entrepreneurial skills and attitudes in students and promoting the creation of technology-based startups.

Calvin's experience also includes working as the Director of Product Development at Pueblo Science from December 2010 to August 2017. Calvin coordinated volunteer scientists and engineers in developing experiments and instruction manuals for science education programs in low-resource communities. Calvin also led international teams in delivering these programs.

Furthermore, Calvin was the VP Product Development and Co-Founder at Sciventions from August 2011 to May 2017. Calvin played a key role in the company's product development activities.

Before their industry roles, Calvin worked as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto. Calvin pursued a PhD in Physical and Materials Chemistry, focusing on the synthesis and application of iron oxide nanoparticles for arsenic removal in water. Calvin also served as a Course Instructor for Experimental Physical Chemistry and a Teaching Assistant for various Physical Chemistry courses.

Calvin Cheng has pursued higher education in the field of science and engineering. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) from the same university, specializing in Biophysical Chemistry with a focus on Optics. Calvin further advanced their educational qualifications by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials/Physical Chemistry from the University of Toronto.
