David Lutterkort has over 20 years of work experience in software engineering and development. Their most recent position was as a Software Engineer at Edge & Node, where they worked on a database-based application focused on collecting and indexing data from Ethereum. Prior to that, they worked at Puppet as an Advisory Software Engineer and later as a Principal Software Engineer. At Puppet, they led various projects including the rewrite of Razor, spearheading the i18n effort for Puppet Enterprise, and leading the development of Puppet's application management features.
Before joining Puppet, David served as the Chair of Apache Deltacloud at Apache and as a Member of the Board at DMTF. David also worked at Red Hat as a Principal Software Engineer for over a decade. Earlier in their career, they held positions at ArsDigita as a Principal Developer and at Proglas GmbH as a Senior Software Developer. Overall, David has a strong background in software engineering, with expertise in database applications, development frameworks, and project leadership.
David Lutterkort obtained a PhD in Computer Science from Purdue University from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate education from 1990 to 1995 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where they earned a degree in Informatics (Dipl.-Inf.).
