Grant Folley has extensive experience in the field of energy development and planning, currently serving as the Head of Origination and Planning - Solar, Storage, Private Wire at EDF Renewables UK & Ireland since July 2013. In this role, Grant oversees project management for energy development, including planning applications and community engagement. Prior to this, Grant held positions such as Principal Onshore Development Manager and Senior Planning Officer at Durham County Council, where responsibilities included managing strategically important planning applications. Earlier experience includes roles at North Tyneside Council, the Environment Agency, and Bournemouth Borough Council, contributing to a solid foundation in planning and development. Grant holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma in Town and Country Planning from Newcastle University.
