Claire Melrose (Gilchrist) is an experienced professional in the renewable energy and environmental consultancy sectors. Currently serving as an RUK Shadow Board Member at RenewableUK since June 2024 and as Offshore Development Manager at EDF Renewables UK & Ireland since June 2020, Claire has held multiple roles focused on offshore consents and environmental management. Previous positions include Offshore Consents Lead at Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Limited and Senior Environmental Consultant at Royal HaskoningDHV. Claire's career began with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology from the University of Plymouth, followed by a Master of Science in International Marine Environmental Consultancy from Newcastle University. Claire's extensive background includes work in offshore environmental sampling and consultancy in various global locations.
