Kainat Amir began their work experience in 2017 as a Summer Research Student at North York General Hospital. From there, they worked as an Academic Tutor at Scholars Education in 2019. In 2020, Kainat joined Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Clinical Research Coordinator & Health Coach, and also held the role of Research Coordinator. Currently, they are employed as a Research and Development Associate at Edesa Biotech, Inc.
Kainat Amir completed their Master's degree in Biomedical Technology at the University of Calgary from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Life Sciences from McMaster University, which was completed from 2014 to 2018.
In addition to their formal education, Kainat also acquired various certifications. Kainat completed the Community Helpers Program offered by Alberta Health Services in June 2021. Kainat also received training in Suicide Prevention from LivingWorks in May 2021. In June 2017, they completed the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans Course on Research Ethics (TCPS 2: CORE) provided by the Government of Canada. Furthermore, Kainat obtained certifications in Health Canada Division 5 - Drugs For Clinical Trials Involving Human Subjects from the CITI Program in June 2021, and Canada GCP (Basic) Training from the CITI Program in October 2020.
