Desiree H. has a diverse work experience across various industries and organizations. Desiree started in 2018 with the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce as a Climate Change Researcher and then worked as a Mayor's Fellow at the City of Columbia SC in the same year. In 2019, they worked on Consulting Projects before joining Lenovo as a Business Development professional in 2020. That same year, they also took on a role at the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper. Desiree joined the U.S. Department of State in 2020, where they worked in Research and Operations until 2021. In 2021, they were selected as an ODC2 Fellow at On Deck, a program for young leaders. In 2022, Desiree worked briefly at Hitachi in an investing role. In 2023, they joined EDEN, where they are currently working in Finance, Operations, and Strategy. Desiree is also a Co-Founder of Spacept, a company focused on promoting infrastructure security using AI and remote sensing in the context of climate change.
Desiree H. has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of South Carolina. Their majors during the program were International Business, Finance, and Management, with a minor in French and a concentration in Analytics. Desiree then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree from Imperial College London, where they specialized in Climate Change, Management, and Finance. Prior to their university studies, Desiree earned their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from The Bolles School.
