Sin-Cheng Siah began their career as a Researcher at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore in 2009. Sin-Cheng then moved to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010, where they worked as a Researcher at MIT PVLAB leading a U.S. Department of Energy funded project. In 2015, they joined Yusarn Audrey as an Intellectual Property Professional, working closely with clients throughout the IP life cycle. Sin-Cheng then joined EDBI Pte Ltd in 2017, starting as a Senior Manager in Investments and progressing to roles as Director (Investments) based in Shanghai and Director, Investments (OC - China).

Sin-Cheng Siah completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science at National University of Singapore from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012. Finally, Sin-Cheng Siah obtained a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering with a Finance minor at Sloan from Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2015. In addition, they became a fully qualified Singapore patent attorney since 2018 through the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS).
