Colby Waites has a diverse work experience in both the technology and media industries. Colby started their career in 2012 as a Tech Support at Central Baptist College, where they worked until 2013. Colby then joined Best Buy as a Geek Squad member from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, Colby joined Central Baptist College again, this time as a PR Officer. Colby later transitioned to the role of Helpdesk Analyst from 2016 to 2017, and then became an IT System Administrator until 2018.

In 2018, Colby took on a role as a Technical Support Technician II at Centennial Bank, before moving to Edafio Technology Partners as a NOC Engineer from 2018 to 2020. Colby then assumed the position of NOC Team Lead at the same company from 2020 to 2022. From 2022 to 2023, Colby worked as an IT Manager at Edafio Technology Partners. Currently, they hold the position of Operations Engineer II at the company.

Aside from their technology roles, Colby also has experience in the media industry. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Director of Media Ministry at Oasis Church.
