Al Yates is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in renewable energy and business development. As a co-founder and owner of Snowstar Group since February 2003, Al also serves as Managing Director at Wind Farm Group, focusing on wind farm development. With a significant tenure at ChargeNet NZ and Ecotricity, both as Director, Al has contributed to advancements in sustainable energy, particularly in New Zealand's carboNZero certified electricity provision. Al's advisory role as a member of the Market Development Advisory Group for the Electricity Authority highlights expertise in market pricing, risk management, and operational efficiencies. Previous leadership roles include Directorship at the New Zealand Wind Energy Association, Managing Director at Brightpoint, and Product Manager positions at Countrywide Bank and David Reid Electronics. Al holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Development and Marketing from the University of Canterbury and has a foundational education from Kings College, Auckland.
