Elena Sanchez Varela has a diverse work experience. Elena started working at Ecorus in June 2020 as a Project Engineer. Prior to that, they interned at CCS Energie-advies from May 2019 to February 2020. In 2014, they worked as an Electronic Security Analyst at Belcorp from July 2014 to March 2017. Before that, they briefly served as a Corporate Accounts Manager at SURVISION suramericana de video y sonido from February 2014 to July 2014.

Elena Sanchez Varela received a Master's degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from the University of Twente, which they completed between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they undertook a certification course in Building Automation at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2013. Elena's undergraduate studies took place at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana as well, where they obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering with a focus on Control Systems from 2007 to 2013.
