Marco Bertani-Økland is currently the VP of R&D ESG and Data Intelligence at EcoOnline Global, a position held since July 2021, where leadership spans the data intelligence team focused on advancing product AI maturity. Previously at EcoOnline, Marco served as Chief Data Scientist & Head of Data/ML, overseeing the development of Machine Learning and Data teams to enhance reporting, analytics, and search capabilities. Prior experience includes a role as Chief Engineer at Computas AS, where responsibilities encompassed machine learning, technical support, and system design. Marco's academic background includes a PhD in Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the same institution and Universidad de Guanajuato, respectively.
